The Foundation - Helical Piles
When people think about building a home, they often imagine weeks of digging, pouring concrete, and waiting for it to cure. But at TinyBox, we do things differently.
Instead of concrete, we use something called a helical pile. Think of it like a giant metal screw that anchors your home deep into the ground. It goes in fast, with no need to wait or pour anything. In most cases, we can install the entire foundation in just one day.
This system is better suited for Canadian soil and frost. Traditional concrete pads usually only go about 2 feet deep. Our helical piles go 5 to 6 feet down below the frost line- so your home won’t shift when the ground freezes and thaws.
Unlike mobile homes on cinder blocks or trailers on wheels, our foundation is built to last. It’s secure, stable, and doesn’t require massive excavation equipment. We even designed our system to work in tight backyards, off-grid areas, and sloped land.
It’s faster, cleaner, and more reliable (also used in Lighthouses) than a conventional foundation. No concrete. No delay. Just a rock-solid start for your home.
